Syncing Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop orders to accounting

At the start of the month, your accountant opens the Excel file downloaded from Shopee, puts it next to the accounting software and types in every order again. Once that is done, revenue in the books matches the marketplace. Then the bank statement arrives, the money in the account is lower, and nobody can say where the difference went.

There are four ways to sync orders from Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop to accounting: export a file and import it, use your accounting software's built-in connection, use an order management tool, or integrate through the API. Whichever you choose, you have to match two kinds of data that every marketplace gives you. Orders tell you what the customer bought. Payouts tell you what the marketplace actually transferred after deducting fees, shipping and refunds. Sync only the orders and the scene above repeats every month.

We used only the public documentation of the marketplaces and of MISA, read on 22 October 2026. Marketplace screens and rules change often, so check the source pages again before you act on this.

What data Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop give your accountant

There are four groups of data to bring in: orders, payouts per order, fees, and returns and refunds. Each marketplace hands them over in its own way.

  • Shopee. In Kênh Người Bán (Seller Centre), go to Doanh thu (revenue), choose the Đã thanh toán (paid) tab and export the Báo cáo Doanh thu (revenue report). The file has the sheets Tổng quát (overview), Chi tiết phí dịch vụ (service fee details), Điều chỉnh doanh thu (revenue adjustments), Chênh lệch phí vận chuyển (shipping fee differences) and Doanh thu (revenue). The Doanh thu sheet lists every order or every SKU, with the amount refunded, each type of fee and tax.
  • TikTok Shop. The finance API offers daily statements, transaction details per order at SKU level (sales, fees, commission, shipping, tax, refunds), and a list of unsettled transactions.
  • Lazada. The finance API returns a seller's transaction details for a date range, filterable by order number and transaction type.

The table below gathers how the three marketplaces differ, based on each one's public documentation.

Four ways to sync marketplace orders to accounting software

The first needs no integration at all; the last gives you the most control. The two in between depend on the software you already use.

  1. Export a file and import it. For Shopee, go to Kênh Người Bán > Doanh thu > Đã thanh toán > Xuất (export) to download the Báo cáo Doanh thu, then import it into your accounting software or a spreadsheet. Nothing to integrate, but you repeat it every period and do the matching yourself. Shopee lets you view exported reports again for 6 months. For Lazada and TikTok Shop we could not verify how to export financial reports, so check your own seller account. If there is no export, get the data through the API (QueryTransactionDetails on Lazada, Get Statements and Get Transactions by Order on TikTok Shop) or through a connector tool.
  2. Use your accounting software's built-in connection. MISA AMIS Kế toán has guides for connecting Shopee and TikTok Shop. The software syncs orders and creates sales vouchers automatically, following rules you set. For Lazada, the AMIS Kế toán product page we read says "Kết nối sàn TMĐT Lazada: Sắp ra mắt" (Lazada marketplace connection: coming soon). If you use other software, ask the vendor which connections it has and what data each one pulls.
  3. Use an order management tool. This sits between the marketplaces and accounting. Before you pick one, ask four questions: does it pull fees and payouts or only orders, can it push to your accounting software, where do product codes get mapped, and who fixes an order when it fails.
  4. Integrate through the API. Each marketplace has an open platform for developers: Shopee Open Platform, TikTok Shop Partner Center and Lazada Open Platform. All three require a registered app, an access token from the seller and a signature on every request. You decide which data to pull and where to store it, but you build and maintain it yourself.

Five things to map before you post marketplace orders

Whichever method you pick, settle these five points with your accountant before any data starts flowing.

  1. Customer. According to MISA's guide, if the order asks for an invoice, the customer details come from the marketplace. If not, the order uses the customer set in the sync settings. Pick one generic customer per marketplace in advance.
  2. Product codes and SKUs. The software pulls the product code and name from the marketplace, and you map each one to a product code in accounting. If you track variants by specification code, MISA has a function that maps product variations to those codes.
  3. Revenue. Shopee's report calculates Tổng doanh thu (total revenue) as Tổng hàng hóa (total merchandise) minus Mã giảm giá và chiết khấu (vouchers and discounts). MISA calculates the order value as Thành tiền (line amount) minus Chiết khấu của shop (shop discount). The two numbers do not have to match, but you need to know which one goes into which voucher.
  4. Marketplace fees and shipping. Shopee separates the Phí cố định (fixed fee), Phí dịch vụ (service fee), Phí xử lý giao dịch (transaction processing fee), the Tiếp thị liên kết (affiliate) commission, shipping paid by the buyer and actual shipping cost. Which account receives each one is your accountant's call.
  5. VAT. MISA has an option, "đơn giá bán trên sàn là đơn giá sau thuế" (the marketplace selling price includes tax). Turn it on and the software works back to the pre-tax price using the tax rate in your product list. Shopee's report also shows, per order, the VAT and personal income tax that Shopee withholds and pays on the seller's behalf under Nghị định 117/2025/NĐ-CP (Decree 117/2025). Show that column to whoever handles your tax.

Example: why your Shopee payout is lower than revenue in the books

Back to the start of the month. The figures below are assumptions to illustrate the calculation, not data from a marketplace or from any client.

A Shopee order has an original price of 500,000 đồng, and the shop gives 50,000 đồng off with a voucher. Total revenue for the order is 500,000 minus 50,000, or 450,000 đồng. The fixed fee, service fee and transaction processing fee add up to 60,000 đồng, and the shop's share of shipping is 10,000 đồng. The payout is 450,000 minus 70,000, or 380,000 đồng. This example leaves out the VAT and personal income tax Shopee withholds under Nghị định 117/2025/NĐ-CP, so the real payout can be lower than 380,000 đồng.

An order sync puts only 450,000 đồng into the sales voucher, because the order value does not deduct fees. The 70,000 đồng gap shows up only when you pull Shopee's revenue report. If you sync orders alone, revenue in the books is right, but the money reaching the bank will always be lower than the receivable, and you have no document for the difference. So at month end the numbers are off again.

Common errors when syncing marketplace orders to accounting

Half of the errors below come down to order status and the recognition date.

  • Unconfirmed orders are not synced. Both MISA guides, for Shopee and for TikTok Shop, say so. An order that is on the marketplace but not yet in accounting is normal at this stage.
  • Connecting the wrong account type. MISA only supports connecting through a Shopee shop account. Main accounts and international shops cannot connect.
  • Amounts that still change. Shopee states that escrow_amount is the amount the seller expects to receive and will change before the order is completed. TikTok Shop states that unsettled transaction data is an estimate, and the final figures are only in the statement APIs. Do not record payouts from estimates.
  • Adjustments in another period. Shopee's Điều chỉnh doanh thu sheet can link to orders that are already paid or about to be paid, so an adjustment can belong to a different period from the one you are closing.
  • Actual shipping higher than estimated. Shopee has a separate sheet for these orders.
  • Recognition date. For the Shopee revenue and expense report in AMIS, only successfully delivered orders are pulled. If the buyer does not confirm, the system records the order about 1 to 4 days after successful delivery. That date may not be the one you expect when you close the period.
  • API limits. The marketplaces cap the number of records and the length of the date range per call (see the table above), so the first run over historical data has to be split into smaller chunks.
  • Returns. MISA automatically creates a sales return voucher when a buyer returns goods on Shopee or TikTok Shop. Test one returned order before you trust this flow.

Five steps to start syncing marketplace orders

  1. List your marketplaces and shops, and the account type each shop connects with.
  2. Agree one product code for each product across all three marketplaces and in accounting.
  3. Write the mapping table with your accountant: revenue, each type of fee, shipping, refunds, tax.
  4. Run a one-week trial on one marketplace, then compare the money in the bank with that marketplace's report.
  5. Add the next marketplace once the numbers match.

This week, take one paid Shopee order and trace it from the sales voucher to the money landing in your bank. Wherever you cannot explain the number with a document, that is where the mapping is missing.

Frequently asked questions

Can MISA AMIS connect to Lazada?

Not yet, as of 22 October 2026 when we read it. The MISA AMIS Kế toán product page still lists the Lazada connection as coming soon, while Shopee and TikTok Shop already have connection guides. In the meantime, Lazada sellers can pull payouts and fees through the QueryTransactionDetails API, filtered by order number, or use a connector tool in between.

Why is an order on Shopee but not yet in my accounting software?

Usually because of the order status. MISA's connection skips Shopee and TikTok Shop orders that are still unconfirmed. The Shopee revenue and expense report in AMIS only takes successfully delivered orders, and if the buyer never taps confirm, the order reaches the books about 1 to 4 days after delivery.

Should I record payouts from Shopee's expected amount?

Not as the final payout. According to the Shopee Open Platform documentation, escrow_amount is only what the seller expects to receive, and it keeps changing until the order is completed. The payout entry for a Shopee order should wait until the order is completed.

Where do I get the final TikTok Shop payout figure?

The final TikTok Shop figures are only in the statement APIs. The unsettled transaction list returns estimates only, so it cannot be used to record payouts in the books.

How long can I view exported Shopee revenue reports?

Six months. Shopee's Kênh Người Bán only lets you view exported revenue reports within that window. If you need to check older figures, save each period's file right after you export it.
